Do you want our dance shoes to be as special as you are? No problem!
SUPADANCE does NOT manufacture in China or Taiwan or anywhere else in the world, but has been doing so for over 60 years in the family-owned factory in North London.
That's why we can also cater to very specific customer requirements.
You can obtain many models in different materials, colours, heel heights and heel shapes as custom-made products ... just the way you want them.
Customised products in London
What are customised products anyway?
Customised shoes are shoes made especially for you, individually and on customer request.
The changes can relate to the colour/material combination, the width, the heel shape, the heel height and even the shoe size (e.g. size UK 8.5 and UK 9.0 for women). Of course, vegan versions and/or versions with rhinestone soles (mostly for bridal shoes) are also available.
It is also possible to combine different special designs, i.e. models with different colour and material combinations AND a different width AND these in vegan.
Why do customised products cost more?
Each customised pair of dance shoes made for you in our London factory ‘interrupts’ the normal production process because changes have to be made in production just for your pair of dance shoes.
For example, an employee has to fetch a bale of the material from the warehouse, clamp it in the cutting machine and cut it to size. In addition, we automatically have more waste than if we cut the fabric for several shoes from the same bale of fabric. This also increases our material costs.
Or the shoe last for EXTRAWIDTH has to be fitted just for you, or a different heel has to be taken from the warehouse and covered with a different fabric just for you.
When you consider how much extra work is involved in making your dream dance shoes, it is clear to everyone that the flat rate only serves to cover costs. We can't ‘earn’ anything with customised products ... but we can make you happy - and that's worth it to us.
How high is the surcharge for customised products?
The surcharge per customisation is 29.00 euros gross per pair. It does not matter how many changes you would like for this pair of dance shoes. This means that for other colour and material combinations AND a different width AND the vegan version with street soles in size UK 9.0 for women, the custom-made flat rate only applies ONCE, and not per change. This means that no customisation is more expensive than the normal price of this model plus 29.00 euros.
Why can't I return a customised product?
With customised products, there are several million possibilities for our dance shoes in purely mathematical terms. Imagine if every customer simply ordered everything they thought they liked on spec. And then they don't like it and/or it doesn't fit and they send it back to us. Of course, we have to pay for all the dance shoes produced in London and can't just send them back. As a result, it wouldn't take long and we would have thousands of very unusual dance shoes in stock that we have already paid for, which we would not be able to sell again, or only with great difficulty.
That would not be economically viable.
For this reason, the legislator has established the possibility that products manufactured exclusively according to customer specifications and customer wishes do not qualify for a return or exchange as soon as the manufacturing process has begun due to this personal customisation in accordance with Section 312g (2) BGB.
BEFORE ordering a custom-made product, you will be explicitly informed of this restriction of the right of cancellation. To be on the safe side, you must also confirm this by placing a parcel in order to be able to place this product in the shopping basket at all.
The information field that then appears looks like this:

Zudem haben wir die Einschränkung rechtswirksam in unseren Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen beschrieben, denen Sie im Rahmen Ihrer Bestellung ebenfalls zustimmen müssen.
For some models, which we generally only produce as customised products for you, we also write this at the top right of the first product image, as well as explicitly below the model name, as in the following example:

Many things are possible
Although we cannot simply produce your new dance shoes in your desired colour if we do not have the materials in stock at the factory, we can use materials and colours that we already use for other models for your desired model. This results in an almost infinite number of new combination possibilities that we are unable to offer and/or visualise in our web shops. The same applies to other heel shapes and heel heights.
So-called ‘unpaired’ shoes, i.e. shoes with different sizes and/or widths on the left and right, are therefore no problem for us. Once you have found the right combination, your problems with your dance shoes fitting perfectly on either the left OR the right are a thing of the past.
What is unfortunately NOT possible are customised products in terms of shoe width and/or length. For example, we cannot produce shoes that are ‘slightly wider at the front but not wider at the back’ than ‘normal’ models. Or models that are only narrower at the back, for example, or models that are cut much wider.
The reason: we have a so-called shoe last for each model, which determines the shape of the shoes. We can therefore only produce shoes that we can produce with these prefabricated shoe lasts. Unfortunately, we cannot produce a ‘hand-carved’ model with your individual foot measurements.
How can I order a customised product?
Custom-made shoes are shoes made especially for you at the customer's request, which CANNOT be returned if they are not to your liking and/or do not fit.
- You can enquire by telephone or using the form to find out whether your desired model can be produced as you envisage it.
- If this is the case, we will discuss which models you can order in our webshop in a ‘normal’ version ... if you are not sure about the size, it is best to order two sizes at once.
- You order and pay for the selected shoes in our webshop as usual.
- We will send you the shoes to try on and you decide on the right size.
- You send the shoes back to us and receive a refund of the money you paid (Paypal payments are suitable for this).
- You can then order your desired model as a customised product in the webshop.
- If your customised product is not available to order in the webshop, we will send you an email with the customised order form for your customised product and the corresponding invoice.
- You sign the order form and send it back to us by e-mail or post.
- Please pay the invoice amount by bank transfer or Paypal.
- As soon as we have received both your payment and the signed order form, we will order your customised product from SUPADANCE London.
- After approx. 4-7 weeks you will receive your new dream dance shoes.
Of course, you can also skip the first steps if you know exactly that a model suits you, e.g. because you already have a ‘normal’ version of this model. In this case, you can of course order the customised version (from step 6) at your own risk.
Is YOUR desired model feasible?
Of course, we can only tell you whether your desired model can be produced the way you want it once we know exactly how you imagine your new dance shoes. Please use the form to make an enquiry.
Either we can already tell you whether your wishes can be fulfilled, or we can ask our factory in London whether it is technically possible to produce your new dance shoes in exactly the same way.
